Inviting sauna experience after hiking was a nice touch.
The room description misled us into expecting a functional kitchenette, but it turned out to be inadequate for any real cooking or food preparation. The lack of dishes made it even more frustrating. Moreover, the dining experience left a lot to be desired. the communal table setting felt awkward, especially without English-speaking company.

We had a lovely time enjoying our beautiful room with a stunning view of the waterfall and fjord while savoring an incredible 3-course dinner where the chef personally described each dish. The sauna and garden area were wonderful spots to unwind after a day of exploration. The only downside was the narrow beds, but honestly, with such amazing views, it didn’t bother us at all! 😊

absolutley underwhelmed! their kitchenette was more like a coffee corner—seriously, no dishes? how classy! we also got stuffed at a communal table with no english speakers, just wonderful! i almost gave a good review but the lack of an upgrade or any complimentary perks left me feeling like just another regular guest.

Had a great time with friends! The location offers stunning views, and the food was fresh and made with local ingredients. We had fun hiking nearby and enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere. Don’t miss out on the homemade breakfast options. they really add to the experience.
Unfortunately, the kitchenette in our room was not functional for cooking, which was disappointing and limited our dining options.

Perfect for a romantic getaway
Waking up to the breathtaking 360-degree views of the fjords was unforgettable. The staff went out of their way to make dinner special, and the homemade local dishes were something to write home about.
It wasn’t exactly cheap, but worth every penny for the experience.

Had a great time with friends! The location has stunning views, and we loved hiking nearby. The shared dining experience was fun and made it easy to chat with other guests while enjoying fresh, local dishes. Don't miss the homemade breakfast. it’s a real treat to start the day!
However, we were disappointed with the kitchenette in our room—it didn’t have any dishes or proper cooking facilities, which made things a bit inconvenient.

We spent 1 night at Nes Gard, and it was absolutely fantastic! The views of the fjord from our Double or Twin Room were breathtaking. The owner was incredibly kind and went above and beyond to make us feel at home. Dinner was a highlight. it’s one of the best meals we've ever had. We truly enjoyed the local ingredients and the cozy atmosphere.
The weather wasn’t ideal for outdoor activities.
